Educational background
Dr. Singal completed both her medical degree and residency at the University of Toronto. She went on to complete a fellowship at the University of Toronto in refractive surgery, corneal transplantation, and external diseases.
Refractive experience
Dr. Singal is a talented refractive surgeon who specializes in LASIK surgery, all-laser LASIK, PRK surgery, refractive lens exchange, corneal cross-linking, and phakic IOL implantation.
She is currently the Chief of Cornea at the University of Toronto’s Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences and is also an assistant professor at the university. Dr. Singal is currently on-staff at the Michael Garron Hospital as well as Mount Sinai Hospital, where she is helping to develop a new cornea program with clinics, resident teaching, and surgical teaching.
Moreover, Dr. Singal is currently the Director of Cornea at the Kensington Eye Institute and has been instrumental in improving access to collagen cross-linking for thousands of keratoconus patients. Additionally, she helped establish a cornea transplant program at the Kensington Eye Institute, which has dramatically reduced wait times in the greater Toronto area.
