Dr. Dana Barequet Dvorkin

Dr. Barequet completed an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at Tel Aviv University in Israel. She then completed both her medical degree and a master’s in public health and health system management at the Bar‑Ilan University in the Galilee. Dr. Barequet later returned to Tel Aviv University to undergo a residency in ophthalmology.

Dr. Barequet specializes in general ophthalmology as well as cornea and refractive surgery, and has helped treat hundreds of patients over the course of her career. She’s passionate about transforming even more lives through clear vision with TLC in Toronto by offering high‑quality vision correction procedures.

Dr. Barequet has extensive research experience. She’s had articles published in peer‑reviewed journals such as Ocular Immunology and Inflammation, Current Eye Research, the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, and Retina. Dr. Barequet has also been invited to present her work at various scientific meetings, including for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

She was previously a junior research assistant in the lab of Professor Ruth Ashery‑Padan, Ph.D., at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, where she helped research the role of miRNAs in the development of the retinal pigment epithelium layer. Dr. Barequet has also lent her expertise as an anatomy instructor for medical students.
